QUALITY · COMMITMENT · RELIABILITY

At Gateway, we offer comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) in Oklahoma, which involves locating and analyzing underground utilities and structures. SUE data is classified into four quality levels, labeled A through D — with Level A representing the highest accuracy and Level D the lowest.
"Level A" of data requires physically uncovering the utility, a process commonly known as “potholing.” It provides the highest degree of accuracy. Once exposed, the utility’s exact horizontal and vertical positions are determined through survey measurements. Potholing, or “daylighting,” is also the only dependable method to verify the size or presence of concrete-encased duct banks. When precision is critical and vertical measurements matter, potholing delivers the most reliable results.
